  • Can I receive a quotation without doing any booking ?

    Yes, you can whenever you want quote a rent and check the vehicle availability without doing any booking. You just have to click on the button “Rent a car now!” and fill in the vehicle category and the renting duration.

  • How can I reach a DriveRent operator ?

  • How’s the price compound ?

    Your renting tariff is compounded according to the details you give while booking the car (category, rent duration, additional driver or not, damage waiver or not, etc.). The quotation will show off all the details you chose. When you’ll pick the car up, your DriveRent assistant will review all the details with you.

  • What is the price made of ?

    The quotation is based on all the mandatory costs linked to your booking details. This includes the following points:

    • The car renting costs according to the duration and the car category.
    • The VAT amount (17%).
    • The kilometres formula either unlimited or limited formula with a price for each exceeded kilometres you may do.
    • The public liability insurance.
    • The insurance cover related to any damages to the vehicle: extra option.
    • The insurance cover for vehicle theft.
  • Do I have to pay a deposit while taking the car ?

    A deposit covering the insurance own risk amount generally needs to be made when the car is being picked up. This deposit can be blocked on your credit card, so that it will remain on your bank account at any moment during the rental period. Moreover, the deposit may be used for unexpected costs, such as fuel costs in case the fuel level at the return is lower than the level at the pickup, cleaning costs in case the car is exceptionally dirty, if animal hair is found in the car, if you have been smoking in the car. The amount of own risk can be avoided in several cases if a supplementary fee is paid before pickup.

  • Which documents do I have to take with me to pick the car up ?

    The driver must have the following documents :

    1. A driver licence which has been established in the host country for a certain period of time. An international driving licence has to be presented with your driving licence if the language of your driving licence is different from the country where you rent the car. The international driving licence is valid until it’s presented with the original driving licence from the driver’s country.
    2. Your identity document such as ID Card or Passport.
    3. Your valid credit card with an expiration date later than the car restitution date.
  • Can I add extra drivers ?

    Extra drivers are allowed to drive the rental car but they have to be mentioned on the rental car contract. Additional costs may be applied to the invoice depending on the number of additional drivers.
